Partnership Announcement | September 2026 | Women in Energy Network

The Gas Investment Forum is pleased to announce the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) as the Strategic Industry Partner for the Future Leaders & Inclusive Investment Programme at the 4th Gas Investment Forum (GIF 2026), taking place on 29–30 September 2026 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

Building a Future-Ready Workforce for the Decade of Gas

As Nigeria advances its ambition of becoming Africa’s Global Gas Powerhouse, developing a skilled, diverse, and future-ready workforce has become as important as expanding infrastructure and attracting investment. Building the next generation of technical professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders will be critical to sustaining long-term growth across the gas value chain and delivering the objectives of the Decade of Gas.

WIEN’s participation brings together one of Nigeria’s foremost professional networks championing women’s leadership, capacity development, and inclusive participation across the energy industry. Through initiatives supporting women-led gas enterprises, capacity-building programmes, STEM education, and the development of young energy professionals through its Collegiate Programme, WIEN continues to play an important role in strengthening the industry’s future talent pipeline and promoting greater participation across the energy ecosystem.

The Future Leaders & Inclusive Investment Programme will convene senior industry executives, policymakers, investors, development partners, academia, young professionals, and students to explore practical strategies for:

  • Developing talent and strengthening leadership
