Women in Energy Network (WIEN) is convening the Global Energy Equity Forum (GEEF), an exclusive CEO roundtable for leaders across the energy value chain in Africa and around the world.

On Thursday, 14 May 2026, at The Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos, selected chief executives and board chairs will come together for a closed-door working session focused on one priority:

The WIEN Benchmark

The WIEN Benchmark is a sector-specific governance and equity standard that equips boards and executive teams with a structured reference point for leadership practice, internal reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

GEEF serves as the platform where CEOs help shape this standard and consider how it can strengthen their own organisations in dialogue with investors, regulators, and partners.

Detailed materials on the Benchmark will be shared only with confirmed participants and partner organisations.

Who is Invited

Participation is by invitation and strictly limited.

The Forum is designed for:

Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors in upstream, midstream, downstream, power, renewables, and energy services
Board Chairs and directors with governance oversight
Heads of regulatory agencies and policy institutions
Leaders from development finance institutions, multilaterals, and capital partners whose mandates intersect with energy, governance, and sustainability

Senior executives responsible for ESG, risk, and reporting may attend as part of a CEO’s delegation where appropriate.

Closed-door CEO working sessions under agreed confidentiality principles
Introduction of the WIEN Benchmark framework and discussion of adoption pathways
Presentation of key messages and commitments in a closing session
Private Executive Dinner hosted by WIEN, providing space for continued peer dialogue and relationship building among participating leaders

Media access will be carefully managed through WIEN. The main focus is a secure environment that allows for candid discussion and clear outcomes.

Access to GEEF is by invitation and then ticketed.

Invited CEOs and organisations will receive a formal letter from the President of WIEN
