WIEN Showcases Leadership and Inclusion at NAICE 2025

The Nigeria Annual International Conference & Exhibition (NAICE) 2025, organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), took place from August 4th to 6th in Lagos. The three-day event convened global and local leaders, policymakers, professionals, and innovators across the oil and gas industry to exchange knowledge, explore new technologies, and chart pathways toward a sustainable energy future.

Women in Energy Network (WIEN) proudly participated in NAICE 2025 as an exhibitor, reaffirming our commitment to advancing gender diversity, equity, and inclusion in the energy industry. Our presence at the exhibition was focused on four key goals:

• Increasing WIEN’s visibility within the energy ecosystem.
• Showcasing programs and initiatives that empower women and girls in STEM.
• Building strategic networks with industry stakeholders.
• Encouraging membership sign-ups among women professionals and STEM-driven young women.

Our exhibition booth became a vibrant hub of activity throughout the three days, engaging visitors with inspiring conversations on WIEN’s mission, projects, and success stories. A major highlight was the promotion of the Supernova – Girls in STEM Initiative, which resonated strongly with attendees eager to inspire the next generation of female leaders in energy.

Championing Women’s Voices

WIEN’s leadership was also represented on the conference agenda by two distinguished members:

• Engr. Tessy Ewuzie, Head of Facility Management at Aradel Holdings Plc.
• Wola Joseph-Condotti, Group MD/CEO of West Power & Gas Ltd and WIEN Vice President (Power).

Their participation showed WIEN’s role in shaping conversations around leadership, innovation, and inclusion in the energy space.

NAICE 2025 provided WIEN with a powerful platform to strengthen partnerships, expand our membership, and deepen our impact across the energy value chain. The conversations, connections, and insights gained during the event will fuel our continued advocacy for gender inclusion and empower us to deliver even more impactful programs for women and young girls in STEM.
