This International Women’s Day, the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) isn’t just celebrating for a day—we are celebrating for the entire month.

On March 9th, 2026, we officially kicked off the WIEN IWD 2026 Spotlight Series, a month-long digital showcase designed to honor the brilliance, resilience, and strategic leadership of the women within our community. From the technical depths of upstream engineering to the strategic heights of energy policy and finance, these women are the architects of Africa’s energy future.

90 Women. 30 Days. One Powerful Message.

The 2026 series is our most ambitious yet. We have identified a prestigious list of 90 exceptional women from the senior and mid-level career cadres of our active membership.

Each day throughout March, we are unveiling three of these powerhouses across our social media platforms. By highlighting their current roles, their companies, and a brief profile of their career achievements, we aim to:

• Humanize Excellence: Moving beyond titles to share the real stories of career navigation.
• Create Visibility: Ensuring that women-led companies and professionals are at the top of mind for investors and industry regulators.
