The Women In Energy Network (WIEN) had a remarkable outing at the 25th NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition 2026, reaffirming its commitment to advancing women’s leadership, visibility, and participation across Nigeria’s energy industry.

As a Supporting Partner, WIEN maintained a strong presence throughout the conference with its exhibition booth, which served as a hub for engagement, networking, and collaboration. The booth welcomed members, industry professionals, partners, students, and other stakeholders, providing an opportunity to showcase WIEN’s programmes, initiatives, and the value of belonging to the Network.

A Strong Presence and Thought Leadership

One of the defining highlights of WIEN’s participation was the outstanding representation of its members across the conference programme. Eleven (11) WIEN women served as speakers and moderators in technical sessions and panel discussions, sharing their expertise, thought leadership, and practical insights on key issues shaping the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

Their contributions reflected the depth of talent, leadership, and technical excellence within the WIEN community, while demonstrating the increasingly significant role women continue to play across the energy value chain.

Abuja Members’ Hangout: Strengthening Community

Taking advantage of the opportunity of having members gathered in Abuja for NOG Energy Week, WIEN also hosted an Abuja Members’ Hangout. The informal gathering brought together members attending the conference for an evening of networking, reconnecting, welcoming new faces, mentorship, and strengthening professional relationships.

Beyond the conference sessions, it provided a relaxed space for meaningful conversations, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, further reinforcing WIEN’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive community where women can learn from one another, build lasting connections, and grow together.
